What does a Senior Account Manager do
The Senior Account Manager works with clients to interpret their needs, identify opportunities, gather baseline information and make recommendations for scope of work. The position serves as a resource to the client and members of their team. This position will manage Project Managers and Coordinators.
Overall this role provides three core functions
Client Service/Communications: You’ll be the key touch-point to support clients working solo, as well as in collaboration with the CEO to develop strategies and marketing plans (some of this you will do on your own) and nuture and grow client relationships, demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for the partnership and mission, and manage expectations.
Project Planning: You can look at a well-researched and well-written strategy or brief and work to turn it into a comprehensive execution plan that includes tasks, timelines, and talent and guide the team’s efforts to complete the project.
Resource Managment: You will manage the necessary tasks, timelines, team and budget to see a project through to completion – accomplished according to schedule and profitability.

- You have a strong working knowlege of Microsoft Office/Google Drive and Project Management platforms
- You have positive, proactive problem-solving skills
- You are an encouraging team plater
- You have a strong background in communication strategy, writing, copy-editing, and content curation
- You have 5-7 years agency experience with branding, website design/development, marketing and social media
- You have a Bachelor’s degree
What are your responsibilities
- Serve as the key point of contact, partnering with clients to developer their goals and strategies, adding strategic value and ensuring that they get the best results from the whole agency team.
- Develop and assist in the definition of proposals, project scope, budgets and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, attending meetings on and off site, as needed

- Manage the execution of project scopes, participate in the evaluation, and help define the best team makeup for assigned projects – identifying, vetting, selecting, and managing outside contractors and vendors to complete work when necessary
- Refine and maintain processes that support stellar end products. Team members and client projects should be stronger and more efficient with you at the table.
- Lead internal and client kick-off meetings
- Administration of Project Management System, maintaining and establishing accounts on the system to ensure comprehensive project documentation and hours are maintained
- Analyze time spent on projects and utilization goals to determine pricing/efficiency
- Conduct weekly status meetings with full team
- Track external vendor expenses for all client agreements, ensuring all fees are accounted for and invoiced
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs, communicating with clients as needed with adjustments to payment schedules, addendums or contract changes
- Monitor out of scope requests, initiate additional estimates and approvals
- Work closely with CEO to ensure the proper creative project briefs are being communicated to design team at the start of a project
- Assess project rishs on an ongoing basis, escalate issues as needed
- Review of weekly new business pipeline with CEO to ensure resource management
- Maintain and improve processes by which projects can be accomplished
- Ensure team members are using company approved resources for time and project management as outlined in company handbook
What you know
- Marketing and strategy, how to talk about it, how to think about it and how to account manage it
- A bit of sales back-ground is a plus
- A baseline competency and knowledge of current digital and social frameworks, platforms, tools, products, etc.
- How to deploy excellent communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings, lead presentations, and manage communications in a responsive, friendly, and professional manner
- How to manage multiple projects, teams, and timelines simultaneously.
- How to gracefully and tactfully say “yes”/“no” and defend your answer in a way that adds value to the team and client
